Data Jazz is an image sonification project that creates music by transcoding RGB pixel data into oscillator tones. Red, green and blue color channel values are grabbed from pixels in an image and the sum is played back as an oscillator frequency. By this process, digital images are converted, pixel by pixel into songs.

Try the web app version of Data Jazz and enjoy listening to images! It was build using Javascript and the P5 library.
